Dear Beloved,
Cops are at best useless and at worst, violent. Cops don’t keep us safe, they don’t prevent crime, and they don’t help people in crisis. Cops are a waste of public resources. Point blank - cops fucking suck.
“It’s lawful for a cop to beat your ass. It’s unlawful for you to defend yourself.” -
The law is neither moral nor ethical. People who enforce the law are not here for community safety or wellness. Any individual person or group that claims “law and order” is authoritarian. Their laws are arbitrarily enforced, and their “order” is control and subjugation. We are seeing this in real time in DC as the regime attempts a federal takeover of the United States’ capitol.
Case in point: It took 20 cops to arrest a guy for throwing a sandwich at a border cop in DC.
“I did it. I threw a sandwich.”
Our hero with a sub is named Sean Dunn. He is an Air Force veteran and prior to his bread-scapade, worked for the Department of Justice. He and his sandwich went viral when he confronted a border cop for invading his city at the orders of an orange fascist fuck.
Said orange fascist fuck’s pedophile-protecting attorney general called the sub throw “an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months” on the Nazi-owned social media platform. Meanwhile, the DC attorney (who is cheerfully following along with the regime for increased power) mocked Dunn, "He thought it was funny. Well, he doesn't think it's funny today because we charged him with a felony. And we're gonna back the police to the hilt! So, there. Stick your Subway sandwich somewhere else."
Guess what, fascist chuckleheads? The more the regime bears down on the people, the clearer it becomes how ridiculous these laws are. As this becomes clearer to the general public, the regime’s artificial authority weakens.
Each act of resistance is a drop of water. Together, we are an ocean. When the people’s enemies bear down on our doors, it is hurricane season.
A grand jury refused to charge a protester for allegedly assaulting an ICE agent- twice.
When organizer Afeni was violently arrested for documenting the regime’s gestapo, community showed up at the DC courthouse and she was let go within an hour.
Community-led groups like the Midwest Immigration Bond Fund (MIBF) are freeing people kidnapped by ICE. Best part? Money donated for one bond is returned to MIBF and is reused perpetually to bring people home.
Microsoft workers are occupying the company headquarters in Redmond, WA in solidarity with Palestine, demanding an end to Microsoft’s contracts with the Zionist occupier.
Residents in Tucson, AZ, showed up at municipal meetings to shout NO to Amazon’s Project Blue AI data center occupying their community. City Council listened to the people and voted no.
The horrors persist, and so do we.
And we will win.
In honor of our hero with hero, here’s my favorite sandwich recipe.

Poem from ICE detention in El Paso, Texas
written by Cata “Xóchitl” Santiago on August 10, 2025
Today marks one week since the encounter with the border patrol agent in the El Paso, TX airport A racist white man saw me as a disposable person Today marks one week of not being able to see The sunsets every evening Of not being able to feel the warmth of the land Of not being able to sprout seeds Or hear the elders and children laugh It has been a week full of stories of strife rooted in forced immigration And to come face to face with the criminalization of the immigrant Getting to see the innards of the for-profit prison system That surveils every move we make That locks us far away from our loved ones Where the lights are on day and night Where every evening’s dinner is a frozen ham and cheese sandwich Crackers and orange juice Where you ask for permission to use the bathroom and bathe yourself at certain times of the day Where the security guards who work at night don’t let us sleep peacefully They have their radios set at the highest volume and have loud conversations with one another Those that work here make fun of immigrants in English There are two pregnant women who have not received appropriate nourishment When people get sick, they make fun of them and the nurses only offer them water The water in here stinks and yet, we still drink it We’re not allowed to differ from the social norms of masculinity and femininity When I say this I mean, the workers here make fun of queer people Here we breathe companionship and solidarity Here we share ailments, stories, advice, encouragements and learn to play games together Thank you so much for accompanying me in this journey In the worlds of Roque Dalton, the Salvadorean poet: “My veins don’t end in me but in the unanimous blood of those who struggle for life, love, little things, landscape and bread, the poetry of everyone.” And how they say in the south: “The fight continues until dignity becomes the norm.”

Fascism Then And Now - Sunday, August 31
What are the historic roots of fascism and how do fascist regimes manifest today? This webinar hosted by the ILPS Commission on Peoples’ Rights Against Fascism will tackle these questions, describing the rise of the historically infamous fascist regimes in Europe prior to World War 2, the modern day fascist regimes under neocolonial puppet governments, and how fascism as a phenomenon is an inseparable aspect of imperialism and the rule of monopoly finance capital.
